This is a very large limited-edition book entitled “The Texicans” by Kenneth Wyatt. Kenneth Wyatt has been painting for over forty years and is best known for his Western and Christian art as well as for landscape, portrait, still life and character study work. He resides in Tulia, Texas and continues to paint. He has painted over 8000 paintings and says “he intends to continue "twisting the tubes" and "pushing the paint around" as long as he feels his Heavenly Father has need of his work.” His art is owned by former Presidents, a U.S. Congressman, a State Senator, the Queen of England, celebrities and major corporations. A couple of his honors and awards include that he was a founder and the first President of the Texas Cowboy Artist Association and in 1999 he received the Western Art American Cowboy Culture Award by the National Cowboy Symposium. The book cover is hair on hide and the title is branded in the hide. This is 181/1000 of the sold-out edition. The book is signed with a personal note to the original owner. Mr. Wyatt said the books originally sold for $500 and are worth about $1,000 today. The book is 151 pages and includes prints of his paintings along with his thoughts on each painting. The last picture shows the book with a man size spur so you can get an idea of the size. This would be a nice book to add to a collection.
