10607 Vintage Handmade CROCKETT No 383 Spurs
This is a pair of vintage handmade Crockett spurs. Crockett is listed in Bit and Spur Makers in the Texas Tradition by Ned and Jody Martin. These spurs are from the late 1940’s or 1950’s time period based on the locations of the edge mark. The spurs are stainless and are mounted with engraved nickel silver. They are listed in the Crockett catalog as spur No. 383 with a turned in shank. They are in good condition. There isn’t any play in the rowels so they were not worn much. The steel swingers are rusty. These would be nice to add to a collection or could still be worn today.
Measurements: Heel Band Width a little less than 1”, Shank 1 ¾”, Rowels 1 ½”, Rowel Points 5, Heel Opening 3 ⅛”, Weight of both spurs 1 pound 4.7 ounces
