10592 Vintage Handmade Marked Hernandez Sterling Inlaid Spurs
This is a pair of vintage handmade spurs by Hernandez. They are marked with two dots on the outside of the heel bands by the offside button. They are listing in Bit and Spur Markers in the Vaquero Tradition by Ned and Jody Martin. There were five Hernandez men listed as bit in spur makers in the San Jose area between 1889 and 1906. The outside bands are inlaid with the sterling silver and the offside bands are chased. There is some play in the rowels but no a lot. This would be a nice pair of spurs to add to a collection.
Measurements: Heel Band at Shank a little less than ¾”, Shank 1 ⅝”, Rowel 1 ¾”, Points 10, Heel Opening 3 ⅜”, Weight of Both Spurs 14oz
