10580 Peter Hurd Lithograph Titled “The Horse Trade”
The is an open edition lithograph by Peter Hurd (1904 – 1984) titled “The Horse Trade”. This print was featured in the Arizona Highways magazine in November of 1953. This print is not pencil signed. There is some damage around the border of the print that will be covered when it is matted and framed. There are also a few spots on the print as shown in the photos. It will be shipped rolled in a tube.

About the Artist: Peter Hurd (1904 – 1984) was born in Roswell, New Mexico. He was a painter, print maker, and illustrator in the regional realist tradition. He worked in watercolors, egg tempera, and lithographs and remained a steadfast realist. He lived and worked in San Patricio, New Mexico and is acclaimed for his western landscapes and his portraits. He studied under the famous illustrator N.C. Wyeth and was married to Wyeth’s eldest daughter, Henriette Wyeth, also an accomplished painter.
