10121 Handmade MIKE GILLESPIE Loose Cheek Curb Bit
This is a used handmade loose cheek curb bit made by Mike Gillespie. The bit is marked MRG and numbered 84. Mike is a bit and spur maker from Stephenville, Texas. He is listed in Old Cowboy Saddles & Spurs by Gretchen & Mike Graham. Mike is taking a break from bit making and is no longer accepting orders. All of his bits are handmade with no import or cast parts. The bit is steel with a natural patina and is mounted with nickel silver. There are inlaid copper stripes on the back of the port. There is some light rust built up on the steel. It is not bent, broken, or repaired. This would be a nice bit to use or add to a collection.
