10011 Handmade CODY JACK Concho Snaffle Bit Lightning Bolts
This is a used snaffle bit made by Texas maker Cody Jack. It is marked Jack on one of the bars. Cody has many years of experience building spurs and cowboy hardware and has cowboyed most of his life. Cody is from Panhandle, Texas. He is one of the featured spur makers for the Annual Texas Style Bit & Spur Association Auction to benefit the Women’s Protective Services Organization. The bit is steel with a natural patina and is mounted with six pieces of engraved nickel silver and two pieces of copper. The conchos are domed. The back of the bars are inlaid with copper. There is a small piece of copper missing on one of the lightning bolts. There is some wear at the center rings but bit is far from worn out. It has a lot of life left in it. It is not bent, broken, or repaired. This would be a nice bit to use or to add to a collection.
