10005 Early Pair of Handmade Spurs Built By RON BLISS Numbered 004
This is an early pair of handmade spurs built by well-known bit and spur maker Ron Bliss from Williams, Arizona. They are marked on the inside of the heel bands, BLISS 004. Ron marked his first twelve pair of spurs BLISS with a consecutive number. Ron began building in 1999 is largely self-taught. He is listed in Bits & Spurs, Motifs, Techniques, and Modern Makers by Ned and Jody Martin. The spurs are in unworn condition. There is some play in the rowels and apparently they were built this way. We do not see any evidence these spurs were ever on a boot. The steel has the original brown finish. These are a nice pair of spurs to wear or to add to a collection.
