10691 Handmade CLYDE RODGERS Gal Leg Spurs Oliver Carved Straps Matching Buckles
This is a pair of handmade gal leg spurs made by long time bit and spur maker Clyde Rodgers from Campo, Colorado. Clyde is listed in Old Cowboy Saddles & Spurs by Gretchen and Mike Graham. The spurs are marked CL Rodgers and numbered 290. They are in unworn condition. The spurs are browned steel and are mounted with eighteen pieces of engraved nickel silver, copper shanks and copper twisted wire borders around the center mounting on the heel bands. They have matching buckles marked CL Rodgers. The buckles are attached to the straps with copper rivets. The straps are floral carved and marked Oliver Amarillo, TX. Oliver’s makes quality leather goods and has been in business since 1917. This would make a great pair of spurs to use or a nice pair to add to a collection.
