10126 New Handmade DON ROGERS Loose Cheek Curb Bit
This is a new handmade loose cheek curb bit made by long time bit and spur maker Don Rogers from Hereford, Texas. Don has been building since 1975 and his work is sought after by cowboys and collectors alike. Don is listed in Bits and Spurs, Motifs, Techniques and Modern Makers by Ned and Jody Martin. The bit is marked Rogers inside the cheek piece. The bit is steel and is overlaid with nickel silver. The nickel silver is mounted with brass flowers and leaves. The flowers have copper centers. The nickel silver is stippled around the mountings and there is wiggle engraving around the outside edge. This would be a nice to use or to add to a collection.
